While this home had a lot of space, it was lacking in character. The owners wanted to add some finely crafted detail for more of a traditional New England feel. Window shapes changed, stately columns were added and the entrance received a substantial makeover. Larger, more traditional shutters, solid looking garage doors and new bronze lanterns all worked together to add distinctiveness. Inside, three new bathrooms brought the outside in with fresh green master bath, a blue boy’s bathroom and a hall bath with weathered wood and bluestone.
BEFORE AND AFTER
To reach its full potential, this house needed an infusion of personality. Rethinking the Palladain window and designing an impressive front entrance were among the many welcome changes.
