A dark, underutilized basement was transformed into three distinctly different spaces, enhancing life for every member of the household. A casual family room with a pantry and bar has a newly built stone staircase, leading to the pool terrace through pretty French doors — with the much appreciated benefit of bringing in sunlight. A full bath, shower and changing area were also added, keeping the pool traffic downstairs and out of the main house. A fresh-looking playroom with built-in storage keeps toys and crafts projects in one happy place.
BEFORE AND AFTER
When a dark basement window becomes two sunlit doors leading to stones stairs and the pool outside, that's a true transformation. Here, it was just the beginning.
